Las Vegas

We went to Las Vegas this year for Allison's birthday. Josh and I, Aaron and Allison, Justin, and Ryan all went. It was fun but totally insane. We walked the strip and went out to eat, we saw The Phantom of the Opera (amazing) and Tournament of the Kings.

We went to the Coke Store and bought the "Tastes around the World". Most of them were alright but there was one called Beverly from Italy that was absolutley nasty. It made Josh cry.

We went to the Grande Lux for dinner our first night there.

We stayed at the Stratosphere.

Driving Home From Vegas

Dinner after seeing The Phantom of the Opera. This was the most discusting pizza I have ever eaten in my life.

We were running extra late for the Opera because the traffic in Vegas is a joke. People just honk and cut each other off. It's a freaking circus. It took us 50 minutes to get from our hotel to The Venitian.

Aaron and Allison fell asleep on the drive home. Aaron started snoring and so we just couldn't resist getting it all on tape.

INEXPERIENCED PEOPLE (that I want to punch)

Okay, I'm not trying to use this blog as a therapy session but today I will make an exception. So in my Human Sexuality Class we have discussions online every week. So far I've been alright with the discussions but I think my teacher is trying to hurt me or at least get someone else hurt by me. (I'm not sure) Well the question for this week was "If you found out your spouse was infertile would you leave them?" (Talk about a hot button question). Most people were very nice about it, then we get the Donkey (nickname, to keep this PG), who says "having children is the only reason to be married, so yes, I would get a divorce". HOLY CRAP, if I could have jumped through the computer and choked him I would have. There was about 6 of us who had a "square dance" on his butt. I don't think I have ever posted so much in my life. After calming down a little I realized that people who don't have experience with the situation should not offer their opinion. Then this girl (currently Donkey's BFF) says "I had a baby my first month trying and I hate it, I would never have children again. So count your blessings if you can't have a baby, I envy you". WHAT? That's like telling someone in a wheelchair that it sucks to be able to walk. People are retarded. I can't even imagine where these people come from, they must live in a hole.

Finally!

Spring is finally here and I am extatic. Josh and I have already been out working in the yard; pulling weeds and preping the garden for planting. We got a bid for our fence and I almost crapped my pants over the price, so we are most likely going to buy the materials and install it ourselves. So if any of you are feeling generous we could probably use some help. Hopefully we'll be able to get started on it the frist weekend in April becasue Josh is off. Casey, the little neighbor kid, came over yesterday when we were outside and said "Do you guys do anything but work outside?" We thought that was funny. We are so excited for spring so we can go camping and four wheeling and everything else we do for fun when the weather is nice. We have a bunch of fun things planned for the next few months. We're going to Vegas, the Dunes, plus we have some campouts planned with The Gubler's and my family so it should be a fantastic few months. I'll do my best to keep everyone posted.

Happy Birthday Grandpa

I just wanted to take a minute to remember Fred W Jensen, March 20, 1935 - February 14, 2007. Grandpa was amazing, he was the kindest person I've ever met, he could make anything with his hands, he loved to golf and laugh, and he loved unconditionally. I'm grateful everyday for the example he set and for his influence on my life, I will never forget it.
